Big announcement my fellow Sherlockians! I am going to hold a contest for the best fan art in our fandom! The artists with the top four fan art can win a $25 gift card to Hot Topic.
For any of you unfamiliar with fan art, it is when artists create something (usually drawings or paintings) inspired by their fandom. If you’re interested in submitting and haven’t created fan art before, I’ll post some examples below with the artist’s name.
You might be wondering, why choose fan art? I have always loved seeing the amazing creations that come from my favorite fandom’s artists. Because I can’t draw well, I have a huge respect for those who do. I also have a love for the arts, so I am happy to reward any gifted people within the area with stuff!
Here are the rules for the contest:
- Post your favorite fan art you’ve created to our Facebook page and tell us what inspired you. Be sure to include #DisneyPotterLock in your post.
- All content entries must be submitted between July 30th and August 2nd. All entries must be posted before 11:59pm on August 2, 2015 with the hashtag #DisneyPotterLock to be eligible.
- Only entries on Facebook are eligible.
- Do not post anything graphic or sexual.
- Four winners will be chosen across all participating properties based on creativity, appearance and execution. This means I will be looking at the skill involved and the execution of the art, as well as the creativity involved to come up with the idea behind it.
- Winners will be chosen and notified on August 3, 2015. Contest winners will be featured on our blog post on August 6th.
- Contest participants must agree to allow the shopping centers to use their posts in future updates regarding Disneypotterlock.
- Artists will be credited when the art is posted.
- This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. By participating, each participant releases Facebook and the shopping center from all liability.
- All participants must be an eligible adult. There is no purchase required for participation.
