Pets are people too! OK, not really. But we tend to treat them as bonafide members of the family. So when the holidays roll around, you can get them a gift, too (And pretend it’s for their owner).
Doggie Outfits
Look, Fido probably doesn’t love being dressed up but if you live in a cold place, they might need an extra layer to ward off the cold (Especially Chihuahuas, who coincidentally look amazing in doggie outfits). Adorable turtleneck sweaters, T-shirts, even jackets with hoods can be had for the four-legged friend. There are similar items for cats, but I wouldn’t recommend this if you value your life and/or your cat’s dignity.

Beds and Houses
While your dog or cat prefers your bed, you might not share that preference. And even if you do like it when they cuddle with you, they deserve a snuggle spot of their own—preferably something down-filled, with a cozy cotton lining and an a removable washable microfiber cover to keep things smelling fresh. Kitties especially like nooks and crannies they can climb into; consider a cool-looking cathouse for the feline.

Toys
Who wouldn’t want to be a spoiled dog or cat in their next life? Lounge around all day in your fluffy new bed, get fed on demand two times a day, free massages for hours at a time? This sounds amazing! Especially the part where you get things to play with—balls and bones to fetch, rubbery things that make delightful squeaky noises every time you bite them, and if you’re a cat, you get toys filled with a mind-altering substance that’s totally legal (catnip).

Treats
You get to pig out during the holidays on turkey, ham, lasagna, and an unending amount of cakes and Christmas cookies and sweets. But what does man’s best friend get? Table scraps? A stern talking to from you? Get Fluffy some gourmet pet snacks. Some look like sweets but are made with dog-friendly ingredients, like chicken liver—with an exterior dipped in yogurt and covered with sprinkles. They look so enticing, you’ll be the jealous one begging for a bite.
Here’s wishing all our furry friends – and their people - a happy holiday season!
